When should I spec Duradek instead of traditional decking?

Any walking surface designed over conditioned space — a balcony over a master suite, a deck above an attached garage, a rooftop terrace above finished rooms. If a leak would land inside the home, Duradek is the right product.
What substrate do you need from the framer?

Clean, dry 3/4" tongue-and-groove plywood (or approved equivalent), pitched a minimum 1/4" per foot away from the building, with blocking at all edges and penetrations. We'll provide a pre-construction detail sheet for your crew.
How does Duradek tie into flashing and railing?

The membrane runs up walls and posts as a continuous waterproof envelope, then is counter-flashed by siding and railing details. We coordinate directly with your framing, siding, and railing trades so the sequence is right.
Do you build new decks or only resurface?

We resurface existing structures and waterproof newly framed decks built by your carpenters. We don't frame new decks ourselves — that stays with the GC.
What's the warranty on a Duradek install?
